These were the words of Timothée Chalamet after winning the SAG Best Actor Award that show his ambition in the industry
Chalamet picked up his first major acting award at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and Exposition Hall on Sunday night.

Timothée Chalamet picked up his first major acting prize on Sunday night, collecting the Best Actor award at the 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards in LA.
Chalamet plays the young Bob Dylan arriving in New York in James Mangold’s biopic A Complete Unknown, and getting his first gigs in and around Greenwich Village. The film shows the young singer-songwriter learning the ropes from seasoned vets, Dave Van Ronk (Joe Tippett) and Pete Seeger (Edward Norton) - old guards of the New York folk scene who act as his mentors. And of course his romance with Joan Baez (played by Monica Barbaro) is one of the key topics explored in the movie.
Along the way, we see Chalamet‘s Dylan hooking up with Levon and the Hawks to “go electric” which enrages the folk purists.
A Complete Unknown has eight nominations at next week’s Oscars - including Best Picture and Chalamet will be up against Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice) for Best Actor.

Chalamet “inspired by the greats”
Chalamet‘s the man of the moment and made his ambitions clear during his acceptance speech at Sunday’s SAG Awards: “I know we’re in a subjective business, but the truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness,” the leather-clad actor told the audience.
“I know people don’t usually talk like that, but I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats. I’m inspired by the greats here tonight. I’m as inspired by Daniel Day, Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, and I want to be up there. So I’m deeply grateful. This doesn’t signify that, but it’s a little more fuel. it’s a little more ammo to keep going. Thank you so much.”
