Update:

Luke Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour 2025 kicked off in Bethel, at the end of May, the first of a 30+ date summer trek in which the country star will be “bringing audiences together in a celebration of music and camaraderie”.

Coinciding with his usual excursions to help US’ farming communities, the tour had been going well until Luke and his band hit in Arkansas last Thursday.

Sweet voice or your money back

The singer, who appeared to be struggling with a cough, felt that his signing wasn’t up to standard at the Walmart AMP. But instead of retiring backstage and cancelling, he had a better idea.

“This... this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life,” the singer told the audience midway through his 23-song set. “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time, I don’t know why. But, you guys keep showing up year after year to see me put on a show. Y’know, I saw Luke Combs do this a couple of years ago. When he was having a weird night onstage, and I said, y’know what, that’s pretty cool. So I don’t give a damn, I’m gonna refund everybody their tickets tonight and we’re going to keep doing the damn show, OK?! We’re just gonna make this what it is”.

Bryan’s voice sounded gravely and strained as he appealed to the Arkansas crowd in between songs in several videos posted on Tiktok.

He was too ill to perform the next two nights in Dallas and Lafayette and took to social media to announce both shows have been postponed and rescheduled for September.

Due to illness, my shows in Dallas and Lafayette this weekend have been rescheduled to the following dates: 9/11: Lafayette, LA 9/12: Dallas, TX,” he wrote. “Please hold on to your tickets — they will be honored for the new dates. Thank you for understanding.”

Fluffed lines in Orlando, Florida

The This Is How We Roll singer made headlines recently when he temporarily draw a blank while at the piano singing his hit Strip it Down during a recent show in in Orlando, Florida. He quickly recovered, as the words came back to him: “I got it!” he told the crowd before launching back into the song.

Apparently it wasn’t the first time that Luke has forgotten his lines - it has happened to him before as it does to the best of artists. But his humility and humor won over the audience - as did his generosity in letting his fans know that they deserve to see him at his best.
