Luckily for Van Dyke, he avoided serious injury.

Paramedics treated him at the scene, and while he was reportedly bleeding from the nose and mouth, and might have suffered a concussion, he refused to be taken to a local hospital.

“Van Dyke sustained moderate injuries and was subsequently treated on the scene by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department,” the sheriff’s department said.

They added that there were no passengers in Van Dyke’s vehicle at the time, and that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

This isn’t the first time Van Dyke has been involved in a scary incident while behind the wheel.

Back in 2013, Van Dyke’s white Jaguar began smoking and then caught fire while he was driving on the 101 freeway near Los Angeles.

A man pulled Van Dyke from his vehicle when he noticed him slumped over the steering wheel.

“He’s fine thank God!!” his wife, Arlene Van Dyke, tweeted about the incident.

Dick later joked about the incident, tweeting: “Used Jag for sale REAL CHEAP!!”
