World-famous actor Jeremy Renner made the headlines last year for the wrong reasons after being involved in a horrific snowplow accident.

The face of Marvel’s Hawkeye character, Renner has become one of the most recognisable people on the planet since the revival of the superhero group the ‘Avengers’ in 2012. He has gone on to star in all of the films in the series, including ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the second-highest grossing film of all time.

He will now appear on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Wednesday night.

When was Jeremy Renner’s accident?

The incident occurred back on New Year’s Day 2023, when a huge, 14,000-pound snowplow crushed him near his home in Reno, Nevada.

Renner revealed via Instagram that he broke “over 30 bones” in the accident which has been described as near-fatal. The actor sustained “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries”, according to the Deseret News. He underwent at least two surgeries and spent two weeks in the hospital.

Has Jeremy Renner fully recovered?

The actor announced online that he was back to work in January this year but also said he faced severe limitations. Returning for season 3 of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ taught Renner plenty of lessons about himself, as he realised that his body was still recovering from the incident. “We discovered they worked me too hard, too many hours, too many days in a row”, he said.

What is Jeremy Renner doing now?

Renner, apart from being an actor, has also established himself in the world of music. He is currently working on a project called ‘Love and Titanium’, which comes out on January 19.

He described it as “a collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan. 1 this year. ‘Love and Titanium’ has been painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create. I hope I get the courage to share with you all.”

“I chose to survive. I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium”, the 53-year-old said.
