Update:

The Netflix documentary Amy Bradley Is Missing takes on the unresolved 1998 disappearance of 23-year-old Amy Bradley, who vanished from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship off Curaçao without a trace. Nearly three decades later, there’s still no body, no confirmed sighting, and no resolution, just a growing pile of odd leads and haunting questions.

What happened to Amy Bradley?

Amy was last seen early on March 23, 1998, after a night out dancing with a ship musician, Alastair Douglas. He later denied knowing anything about her disappearance, though his own daughter now questions that. In the documentary, she confronts him in real-time, pressing about inconsistencies—and his reaction doesn’t exactly soothe suspicion.

What makes this case different is the credible-yet-unconfirmed sightings of Amy in the years after she vanished. A Navy vet says a woman claiming to be Amy told him she was being held captive. Another woman recalls seeing a distressed “Amy” in a bathroom in Barbados. In 2005, the FBI analyzed a sex trafficking site photo that resembled her. Nothing came of any of it.

Why do people think Amy Bradley is still alive?

The Bradley family hasn’t given up. They’ve kept a website online with family photos - and watch as someone from Curaçao or Barbados logs on during birthdays and holidays. The FBI can’t track the visitor. But Amy’s parents keep saying “maybe tomorrow.”

The series doesn’t offer closure. It offers something harder: a story that still might not be over. And if Amy is out there, someone knows. They just haven’t said it yet.
