Glen Powell, Ryan Reynolds and Pedro Pascal are among the favourites to succeed Patrick Dempsey as Sexiest Man Alive.
The wait is almost over. People magazine will officially reveal the identity of the Sexiest Man Alive 2024 on Tuesday (November 12), with a series of actors again among the favourites to pick up the prize.
Since the award was first dished out in 1985, John F. Kennedy Jr. (1988), Adam Levine (2013), David Beckham (2015) and John Legend (2019) are the only non-actors to have been recognised for their sexiness (depending on how you classify 2016 winner Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson).

Who are the favourites to be voted Sexiest Man Alive 2024?
As for this year, that trend is likely to continue, with Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend (in case you didn’t know…), the only man given a chance of gatecrashing the acting love-in by most bookmakers.
Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell is fancied by many to scoop the award, with Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), Pedro Pascal (Narcos) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, but you knew that already) also said to be in the reckoning.
Should Reynolds win, he will become the fourth man after Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Johnny Depp to win the prize outright twice, although Richard Gere won the only Sexiest Couple Alive award to date with then wife Cindy Crawford in 1993 before a solo victory six years later.

As has been the case in recent years, the Sexiest Man Alive 2024 will be revealed on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, which airs on CBS on Tuesday, November 12 at 11:35pm ET.
