Why Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck pulled out of latest home purchase
The couple have pulled out on several property deals in recent months, but it looks as though Ben Affleck was happy to close the latest agreement.
It looks as though Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have different ideas when it comes to what their new dream home should look like.
Recent reports state the couple backed out on the purchase of a $64 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades.
It isn’t the first time they’ve pulled the plug on a deal for a new property. Prior to the recent deal, the couple also changed their mind on a $55 million Bel-Air Estate in April.
They were also set to purchase a $34.5 million property in the Pacific Palisades in February, before walking away from that property as well.
Why Lopez and Affleck pulled out of latest deal
The $64 million Pacific Palisades estate has eight-bedrooms and 14-bathroom on nearly 16,000-square-feet.
It’s also located down the street from Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, which means he would be close to her and his three children - Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 10.
“Ben is fighting for it. He really wants this house,” a source told OK Magazine.
However, it seems Lopez isn’t convinced the home is the right fit for her, Ben and their blended family.
Although Ben is intent on buying the property, it’s reported Lopez has already started looking at other homes.
TMZ reports she was already spotted looking at properties in Holmby Hills. One home she looked at was a $65 million property owned by BCBG founder Max Azria.
Lopez and Affleck on the same page despite property disagreement
Although the couple can’t seem to agree on new home, that doesn’t mean they disagree on everything.
Lopez will have a role in the upcoming ‘Unstoppable’ film that Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, will produce.
“I’m gonna tell you who the lead actor is,” Affleck said. “We always hire the very best performers. And in this case, I can say every single person that’s been cast so far I think is the very absolute best choice.”
Affleck smiled and was coy when asked if he would confirm JLo would appear in the film.
“She may be doing that movie,” he said. “Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.”
