Why today, 1 November, is important for Mariah Carey

Did you enjoy the Halloween celebrations? Well, now that they’re over, thoughts turn to other festivities, especially for one popular singer.

Update:

“It’s time!” says Mariah Carey as the clock ticks on from 31 October to 1 November. But ‘time for what?’ some of her less fanatic X followers were asking. To be honest, unless there was a little too much rum imbibed while dressed up as the grim reaper, given the festive history of the singer, it should be rather obvious.

All Mariah Carey wants is Christmas

That’s right. Despite the massive back catalogue of the 54-year-old singer from New York, there is one song in particular that she is known for the world over. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, you are surely aware of the 1994 track ‘All I want for Christmas’, the best-selling holiday song by a female artist.

And the tweet, sorry, X post from the Songbird Supreme this morning was a reminder that Halloween was over and now all eyes looking ahead to the arrival of Santa Claus and all that goes with it, including catchy ditties from recently thawed stars.
