In recent months, the burning question among MCU fans hasn’t been about who the big villain of Phase 5 will be, or the future of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ after facing significant production issues, but rather whether we would finally see a cameo by Taylor Swift in Deadpool and Wolverine. Given the whirlwind of love that follows the American singer, it truly would set the Box Office alight.

Marvel has come out now to reveal whether the legion of Swifties around the world will indeed get to see their idol in one of the year’s most anticipated films.

Given all this, speculation about a cameo by Taylor – or even a more significant role – in Deadpool and Wolverine has been rampant, especially in the hinted role of Dazzler. Yet, no one from the production team had confirmed or denied anything... until now. Marvel has finally put the rumours to rest, announcing through Entertainment Weekly that, to the disappointment of her fans, Taylor Swift will not appear in the film. We should have listened to Levy earlier this year when he said: “I regret that I was not quicker to shut it down the first time,

As reported, there are returners from the previous movie, namely Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna), Colossus (Stefan Kapičić), Peter/Sugar Bear (Rob Delaney), Dopinder (Karan Soni), and Shatterstar (Lewis Tan). Deadpool and Wolverine is set to premiere on 26 July.
