Update:

Cadillac has become a byword for full-fat American luxury. The historic car manufacturer has, over the years, presented us with some of the most comfortable, lush, and stylish vehicles on the road. Before being overtaken by the European giants, it was the premium car brand in the States.

But with luxury comes a huge hurdle: the price tag. Cadillac has not been the budget-friendly option for many, who have opted instead to move away from the ride comfort and salubrious settings of the posh interiors to cheaper options. However, now there’s a compromise, a car in the middle. A Cadillac for everyone.

For 2025, the CT4 sedan stands as the brand’s least expensive option, priced at about $35,600 before extras. Of course, as is the way with the fashion trends in modern motoring, the CT4 is a compact sedan, and boasts a 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged engine that produces 237 horsepower; it has an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive with an option for all-wheel drive.

“Better than an M3″

To put it into perspective, the next step up is the XT4, Cadillac’s smallest SUV, which starts around $40,800. From there, prices climb quickly.

As for the most expensive standard CT4 trim available, that is the Sport version, which begins at $43,800. The Sport and Premium luxury, which costs a little less at $39,900, and uses the same 2.7L twin-turbocharged engine as its bigger brother.

If you want even more performance, then there are the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing that start at $50,000 and $62,700, respectively. The latter was described by Chris Harris as “better than an M3″ when it comes to the steering, and he also noted in his review that he wishes they would bring it to Europe. He did say that the traction control was “quite unpleasant,” adding that it was “a riot of a car” without it on.
