Just like for all other holidays, retailers are promoting their discounts on products for Black Friday earlier and earlier each year. Several retailers have already begun hyping their Black Friday sale prices well before the official 25 November shopping extravaganza.

As e-commerce takes control of holiday shopping, attracting consumers to their sites is also happening earlier. Amazon hosted one of its Prime Days in October, marking a historic extension of the holiday shopping season.

This year as global supply chains have strengthened, the stock of products will not be what stops consumers... instead, some believe inflation could limit buying this year.

What are the best discounts?

Adobe Digital Insights estimates that around $209.7 billion will be spent this season, with around $8.9 billion coming in during Black Friday. However, this by no means indicates that shoppers will not be finding deals in the days leading up to one of the season’s main events.

Like last year, shoppers are expected to see the best discounts on toys and electronics, with fewer sales being seen in the appeal sector.

Which retailers are already lowering prices?

Several big-name retailers have already begun to announce lower prices on a range of wares they offer. You’ll want to hold onto your receipts and confirm return policies in case the prices drop later on. Best Buy and Target have put price guarantees for early shoppers, but restrictions apply.

Amazon Black Friday

The biggest retailer outside of China announced in October that it is offering pre-Black Friday deals.

These include products supposedly picked by major influences that the company has worked to build relationships with in recent years. Prime members will see major deals on kitchen appliances, like the Nespresso Coffee and Espresso Machines, which has been marked down thirty percent, and electronics like the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Instant Camera, which has seen a twenty-two percent price drop.

Best Buy Black Friday

Starting in October, Best Buy began pre-Black Friday discount prices along with a price-matching guarantee. One catch on the guarantee is that between the Friday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after, competitors’ special Black Friday discounts are excluded.

In the lead-up to the main event, Best Buy is offering great deals on pans, including a Cuisinart - 14-Piece Cookware Set, with an associated price drop of more than 60 percent. For those more interested in electronics and appliances, more deals are available.

Target Black Friday

Shoppers can take advantage of early deals at Target, which is also offering a price-match guarantee, but you will want to check out the fine print. The offer only applies to select competitors, and shoppers need to claim the price reduction within 14 days of the purchase. The guarantee will apply to products whose prices go lower on or before 24 December and are still in stock.

The store is offering special deals each day, so be sure to check and see if the products you are looking for are up for sale.

Walmart Black Friday

America’s second biggest retailer has revealed its Black Friday deals prior to the big shopping day again this year. Shoppers can find a range of special prices across the store’s inventory. Walmart has an everyday price-match guarantee in the continental US, but it doesn’t apply to Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.
