Who is Baba Vanga?

Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, born in the Ottoman Empire in 1911, was a mystic whose life was profoundly shaped by the tumultuous collapse of the Europe she had known. War stole her childhood, and a whirlwind took her vision.

In the wake of these misfortunes, she began experiencing visions and practicing unusual healing techniques that drew public attention. Over time, her accurate predictions and purported healing successes earned her widespread renown.

Though she passed away in 1996, Baba Vanga left behind a series of prophecies that continue to intrigue believers. Some of these predictions, such as the 9/11 attacks and the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, are said to have come true.

For 2024, she foretold “a massive global economic crisis lasting a year,” the use of “biological weapons” by “a major power,” “an unprecedented terrorist attack in Europe,” and “the death of a prominent political leader.” Her followers have linked these predictions to the March attack in Moscow and the death of Ebrahim Raisi, the president of Iran.

While her predictions for 2024 have been ominous, Baba Vanga’s prophecies for 2025 are even more dire. She warned that the “beginning of the end times” would originate in Europe.

“A conflict in Europe will devastate the continent’s population,” she claimed, marking the start of “the destruction of the world as we know it.”

In recent months, even skeptics have grown uneasy as Baba Vanga’s prediction of a “great Muslim war” in 2024 has resurfaced. Many associate this prophecy with the ongoing Arab-Israeli conflict. According to Baba Vanga, this war would conclude in 2043 with the establishment of a Muslim caliphate across Europe.
