Here’s the rocket launches scheduled to take place in the month of July.
Whether you’re 6 or 65 years old, rocket launches never fail to excite. Human beings taking the first steps off our rock in the universe, out into the stars and the unknown.
This month, various rocket launches will take place from U.S. soil into space, all with different objectives. NASA is set to launch an extremely interesting project to study solar activity, while Elon Musk continues his futuristic Starlink internet constellation.

Tuesday, July 22: NASA TRACERS
NASA will launch the Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites (TRACERS) mission on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. SpaceX will serve as the launch service provider for this mission, which involves sending twin satellites into orbit to study the effects of solar activity on Earth.
The launch will use the Falcon 9 rocket, a 230-foot, two-stage behemoth. Liftoff is scheduled for 11:13 a.m. PT from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. After liftoff, the rocket’s booster will return to land at Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) near the launch site.
Friday, July 25: Starlink 17-2
On Friday, July 25, 2025, SpaceX is set to launch the Starlink 17-2 mission to deploy another batch of V2 mini Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. If you see a line of lights in the sky that appear to be travelling incredibly quickly, it’s most likely going to be this launch.
The launch will once again use the Falcon 9 rocket and is scheduled for 7:09 p.m. PT from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Following the launch, the Falcon 9 booster will land on the autonomous drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
Tuesday, July 29: Starlink 13-4
Another Starlink mission, Starlink 13-4, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Like the previous mission, it will launch a new group of V2 mini Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. Liftoff is set for 8:39 a.m. PT from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The rocket’s first-stage booster will once again attempt a landing on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean.
