Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton all agree on their admiration for this person

Update:

It’s not often President Donald Trump and predecessor Joe Biden agree on anything, which makes Andrea Bocelli’s talent even more mesmerizing than we thought.

Both Trump and Biden, along with President Bill Clinton, are huge admirers of the Italian tenor, who is due to perform a duet with Robbie Williams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw in Washington D.C. on Friday.

Bocelli hit a favorite at rallies and the Oval Office

While FIFA is expected to honor Trump by having Village People perform “YMCA” at the draw, Bocelli’s “Time to Say Goodbye” is also one of the president’s favorite songs. Both tracks have been played at Trump’s rallies over the years, and Bocelli was even invited to perform the 1995 hit at the Oval Office.

Not only that, the 67-year-old revealed in an interview with CNN that Trump had lent him his private plane to travel while touring the United States for the first time. “When I did a concert in Central Park, he was there in the first row,” Bocelli said.

Bocelli counts Biden and Clinton as fans

Bocelli also shared that Biden had told him of his love for the same song when the pair met in Italy. “He listens to it very often. When I met him, he was listening to ‘Time to Say Goodbye.’ It’s a magic song.”

In April 1998, Bocelli was received by President Clinton at the White House, the day after performing in the United States for the first time with a concert at the Kennedy Center. The following year, he sang again for Clinton at a Democratic Party event, showing his openness to sharing music across political lines.

How soccer caused Bocelli to go blind

Bocelli being asked to perform at the FIFA World Cup draw is fitting, as he is a big soccer fan and an Inter Milan supporter. That is despite becoming completely blind at the age of 12 after being hit in the eye with a soccer ball, which caused a hemorrhage. Bocelli had also suffered from glaucoma from birth, which left him extremely short-sighted.
