Elon Musk continues to grow his already considerable fortune. The Tesla CEO recently became the first person to surpass a net worth of $400 billion.

His wealth soared following the sale of SpaceX shares, resulting in his current value reaching record levels. In addition, Tesla Inc. shares rose to an all-time high on Wednesday, pushing Musk’s fortune to $447 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily ranking of the world’s richest people.

Previously, his wealth had risen following Donald Trump’s victory in the November presidential election and his subsequent appointment as one of the Republican’s cabinet members. In mid-November, Trump announced that Musk will work together with Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE.

“To drive this kind of dramatic change, the Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of government and will partner with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget to drive large-scale structural reform and create an entrepreneurial approach to government never before seen,” the president-elect shared at the time.

In fourth place in the ranking is Oracle’s Larry Ellison with a net worth of $198 billion, followed by Louis Vuitton’s Bernard Arnault, with a fortune of $181 billion.

The top ten is rounded out by Google’s Larry Page ($174 billion), Microsoft’s Bill Gates ($165 billion), Sergey Brin, who co-founded Google with Page ($163 billion), Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer ($155 billion) and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett ($144 billion).
