Elon Musk’s bombshell: “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files”
The dispute between Donald Trump and Elon Musk is escalating. The Tesla mogul claims the president is implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein files.

In a move no one saw coming, Elon Musk publicly alleged that former President Donald Trump is named in the unreleased files linked to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier at the center of an underage trafficking ring known as the “Lolita Express.”
Musk made the accusation on X, the social media platform he owns, just hours after Trump criticized his former appointee for slamming the GOP tax plan.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT,” Musk wrote.

Trump, Epstein, and the mystery of the hidden files
While Musk’s bombshell is sparking headlines, it’s not the first time Trump’s name has been connected to Epstein.
Back in 2020, the hacktivist collective Anonymous leaked a 91-page document known as “Jeffrey Epstein’s Little Black Book,” which allegedly included names of high-profile figures associated with Epstein’s trafficking network. Donald Trump’s name was reportedly among them—though no criminal accusations were formally made against him.
Then in February 2025, the U.S. government released the first wave of Epstein-related documents, including the infamous contact list. Trump’s name did not appear in that list, a fact that some believed cleared him—until now.

How did Musk and Trump go from allies to enemies?
Just weeks ago, Elon Musk was still a key figure in Trump’s circle, serving as head of the Department of Government Efficiency—a role many viewed as symbolic of their growing political alliance.
When Musk stepped down in late May, both men exchanged compliments. But the harmony didn’t last.
Elon Musk says Trump would have lost the election without him:

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate. […] Such ingratitude” pic.twitter.com/Gw6FVqm7YM
Soon after leaving the administration, Musk tore into Trump’s newly proposed tax policy on X, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” He also claimed that without his financial support and campaign backing, Trump would have never won the 2024 election.
