Has Pete Davidson removed his Kim Kardashian tattoos?

Former SNL star Pete Davidson was spotted recently with a bandage over where he marked his body with one of a few love symbols to ex Kim Kardashian.

Pete Davidson is, or at least was, a fan of tattoos and not thinking he would have a career after Saturday Night Live got his fair share. However, as his career has moved beyond the long-running weekly late-night sketch comedy program he’s been burning them off.

So, suspicions were aroused as to whether he had removed one he got while dating his then girlfriend Kim Kardashian in her honor when he was spotted recently on the set of Bupkis, his current project. Eagle-eyed watchers saw that he had a bandage above his left collar bone where said ink was located.

Tattoo people “get tattoos of what’s going on in their life”

The SKIMS founder made the couple’s relationship official on social media posting in March a photo of the SNL comedian and her together. Days later she revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres show that to demostrate his affection to her he had already gotten a couple of tattoos.

“First tattoo he got, I was like, ‘Oh, so cute. Thank you, oh my God,’ you know? [The] second, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s so cute,’” Kardashian told DeGeneres. However, she played down the acts of devotion saying, “But that’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life.”

Pete Davidson’s body-marking tributes to Kim Kardashian

As far as can be told Davidson got at least four tattoos to mark the relationship with the reality TV star. The first of his body markings isn’t actually a tattoo but rather a brand, as in with a hot iron. “He wanted to do something that was really different,” his then girlfriend explained. “I think he was like, I want something that’s there that I can’t get rid of.” At the time Davidson was in the process of removing tattoos to further his career.

He’s also gotten a tattoo “KNSCP,” the initials of the four children she shares with her ex-husband Kayne West. Another “Jasmine and Aladdin,” marks the first time they kissed while doing a sketch together on SNL. The final known tattoo is the one that prompted questions of whether the comedian had started erasing the non-permanent markings of their whirlwind relationship which ended in August.

Has Pete begun purging his relationship with Kim?

The bandage that was spotted is on the location of his tattoo to show his pride in Kardashian’s achievement last year, “My Girl Is A Lawyer.” The 41-year-old reality TV star passed the Baby Bar exam in California in December 2021. Alas, a source told Us Weekly he doesn’t consider that one of his “embarrassing” tattoos and it is there to stay, at least for now.

Davidson has been in the process of removing tattoos for some time now. Back in May 2021 he explained to another SNL alum now late night talk show host Seth Meyers that he thought the sketch program would have been the end of his on-screen career. “I honestly never thought that I would get an opportunity to act,” he said. “I thought after SNL it was a wrap.”

He is loving his new adventure in acting but realized that tattoos aren’t really something a lot of actors have. “For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much,” he admitted. The process of removing them he explained can be a long one though and offered advice to those who are thinking about getting ink. “If you’re gonna get tattoos, you know, just make sure you really, really want it. And aren’t on mushrooms.”
