Voters will be able to see the names of the presidential candidates on the ballot. However, what is actually voted on are the delegates who will vote for the respective candidates at the Presidential Nominating Convention of each party. To win the party nomination, candidates must gather the minimum majority of delegates in their favor.

The Republicans have 2,429 delegates, 1,215 are required to be nominated. Donald Trump reached that number last week to become the GOP presumptive nominee.

With the presidential race already defined, attention in Ohio is focused on the Republican battle to win the Senate. Bernie Moreno will face Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and Ohio State Senator Matt Dolan in the state’s primary this Tuesday. The winner will face incumbent Senator Brown in the next general election.

Voters will also have to decide on local issues that include a proposal to expand schools to accommodate more students and fund a fourth station for the fire department.
