Netflix premiered last week the series ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’, a series that deals with one of the most famous serial killers in the United States.

On September 21, Netflix premiered the series ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’, based on the murders of one of the most bloodthirsty men of the late 20th century in the United States. Focused completely on real events, the production has been a success in its first week, although it has generated a lot of discomfort among the families of the victims.

Jeffry Dahmer ruthlessly murdered 17 youths and children from 1978 to 1991 between Ohio and Wisconsin. There would have been more if one victim, Tracy Edwards, didn’t manage to escape after five hours of captivity to warn the Police.

Dahmer was arrested in September 1991 and was sentenced in 1992 to life in prison for 15 of his crimes. He was sent to the Columbia prison, where he remained until his death in November 1994.

The ‘Milwaukee Butcher’ did not die by his own means, but was instead murdered by a fellow inmate, Christopher Scarver. Along with another inmate, Jesse Anderson, the three were tasked with cleaning some rooms in the jail. In a moment when they were left unguarded, Scarver battered Dahmer’s head with a metal bar until he was killed. He later did the same with Anderson.

In an interview with the New York Post, the murderer acknowledged that the treatment of the protagonist of the series with the rest of the inmates and officials was bad and that there were often arguments. “Some people who are in prison are sorry, but he wasn’t one of them,” he said.

Despite never having any previous interaction and after taking a hit from behind during the cleanup, Scarver took advantage of a moment when they were alone to assassinate Dahmer.

I think the officials had something to do with what happened,” he said, insisting on the coincidence that the guards had disappeared some time before the event.
