Due to the large number of Mexicans and Latinos who live in the city, several communities in Los Angeles organize various special events in honor of the Day of the Dead. Here are some of the most important ones.

Day of the Dead Festival on Olvera Street

Although the festival, organized by the Olvera Street Merchants Association, began on October 25, the activities will continue until November 2.

Families can visit the community altars, which will be on display from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Activities also include a traditional Mayan blessing, as well as a procession. Here all the details of the festival.

Day of the Dead in Grand Park

Activities began on October 21, but will continue until November 2. In the park, visitors can contribute to a community altar, as well as view altars made by professional artists, local organizations and community partners. Here all the details of the event.

Day of the Dead at Mariachi Plaza
