Happy National Cookie Day! Here is your guide to getting a freebie at Subway in select cities.

Hand-outSubway Restaurants

Subway is celebrating National Cookie Day by releasing a new item to their menu: the footlong chocolate chip cookie. The traditional chocolate chip cookie is a best seller at Subway, and the new item has been in the works over the last year. “Subway’s culinary team spent the past year packing even more craveable, chocolate chip deliciousness into a footlong version of its most popular cookie,” reads a press release put out by the company.

Which cities are offering the deal?

Subway will be giving away a complimentary footlong cookie with the purchase of any footlong sandwich in several cities. The company decided to expand production after the successful release of the twelve-inch cookie in Miami last year. Despite being famous for its sandwiches, Subway boasts of being the top cookie vendor, selling more cookies than any other establishment.

On National Cookie Day, the company is transforming four stores into Cookieway, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. 4 December, customers in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New York will be able to take advantage of the freebie at the following locations:

  • Chicago: 604 S Wabash Ave., Suite D, Chicago, IL 60605
  • Dallas: 1222 Commerce Street, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75202
  • Miami: 2795 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140
  • New York City: 545 8 Ave., New York, NY 10018

When will the footlong cookie be available nationwide?

In January, the chain will expand cookie production, making it available at locations across the country.
