The Golden Globes controversy has ended and the awards ceremony will return to its usual place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Last year’s ceremony was boycotted after it was revealed in the Los Angeles Times in 2021 that the organisers had no black journalists among their 87 members.
This time, however, they will take place. The awards, founded in 1944, crown the best TV and film productions over the past year and 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the ceremony. For the first time, they will be hosted by comedian and actor Jerrod Carmichael.

The film with the most nominations is The Banshees of Inisherin, starring Colin Farrell, with 8, including Best Motion Picture, Best Director and Best Actor in a Motion Picture.
