“If they damage Zaporizhia, two nuclear missiles will hit London and Washington”
A pro-Russian leader has argued that there should be no more dialogue with the west after several attacks on the nuclear power plant.
The war situation around the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, under control by the Russian army since March, is concering all of Europe.
The Zaporizhia complex is the largest facility in all of Europe and continues to be operational thanks to Ukrainian technicians, commanded by Moscow to keep operating. The Russian troops stationed at the plant have decided to cordon off the area with explosives to prevent Ukraine from recovering the plant, according to reports from Kyiv.

The possibility of a new nuclear accident such as the one in Chernobyl has led one of Ukraine’s most famous Russian collaborators, Yuri Kot, declaring on Russian television demanding “there be no dialogue” with the west. In addition, in his comment he claimed Russia is preparing to bombard London and Washington with nuclear warheads in the event that the Ukrainian offensive to recover the plant ends in an atomic disaster.
This issue has been discussed on the Rossiya 1 channel, close to the Kremlin, after a new attempt by the Ukrainian troops to retake the enclave. It was at this moment that Kot, leader of the pro-Russian Parus movement, launched his message.
“We have to tell Ukraine and the countries that support them that if the Zaporizhia nuclear plant is damaged and a disaster occurs, two missiles will hit your centers immediately. of decision”, he said. “One in Washington and the other in London. They will be nuclear. And there will be no more talk."
1,200 tons of nuclear fuel
Currently, the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant stores 1,200 tons of nuclear fuel. This helps calculate how far radiation would spread in the event of a nuclear disaster. Not only Ukraine and the Zaporizhia region would be affected, but it could even reach Russia.
In the last week, the plant has suffered two attacks that have caused damage, having to shut down one of the reactors, and injuring a worker. From the Energoatom organization they have pointed out that “a nuclear catastrophe has been miraculously avoided, but miracles do not last forever”.
In addition to Ukrainians and Russians, the situation at the Zaporizhia power plant is also alerting neighboring countries, such as Romania, which has asked the entire population under 40 years of age to stock up on iodine tablets due to the risk of a nuclear disaster at the factory, which is located 700 km from the border with the EU nation.
