Igloo cooler recall: These are the model numbers of the products recalled by the company
Igloo recall of popular coolers surpasses 1.1 million units sold in the US. Here’s what to do if you purchased one of the dangerous products.
Just before the summer hits, Igloo expanded the recall of popular coolers, after it found that “the tow handle [could] pinch consumers’ fingertips against the cooler, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards." The original recall, issued in February, covered just over 1 million units in the US, 47,000 in Canada, and 23,000 in Mexico.
The initial recall from February published by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that Igloo had only been informed of a dozen injuries. However, the updated notice, published on May 8, 2025, which expanded the recall by 130,000 in the US, shows an increase in the injury figure to “78 reports of fingertip injuries, including 26 resulting in fingertip amputations, bone fractures, or lacerations.”
Which coolers have been recalled?
The recall covers over a dozen cooler models that range in value from $80 to $140.
In addition to the more than 45 models recalled earlier this year, the notice from earlier this month adds three more to the list:

Where were the coolers sold?
In the US, the recall notice issued by CPSC indicates that the Igloo coolers were available for purchase at Costco, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target both in person and online, as well as Amazon, and a plethora of other retailers between January 2019 and January 2025.
What should I do if I purchased a recalled cooler?

The CPSC advises those who purchased one of the listed models to stop using the product and contact Igloo so that you can be sent a replacement product. If you feel that Igloo is not being responsive to your request, you are encouraged by the federal agency to file a report.
