In the business world, there are a few figures who have managed to build true empires from nothing, thanks to ingenuity and years of relentless work. Jack Ma can proudly count himself among the richest men, not only in China but also in the world.

He is the founder and executive chairman of Alibaba Group, one of the most well-known internet companies globally, and he has repeatedly drawn attention with his bold statements.

The banana test: Jack Ma on how people think about money

One of his most striking comparisons is between monkeys and humans: “If you put bananas and money in front of monkeys, the monkeys will choose the bananas because they do not know that money can buy many bananas.”

He then applied this idea to human behavior: “In real life, if you offer people a job and a business opportunity, they will choose the job because most people do not know that a business can generate more money than a salary.”

This viewpoint is shared by Robert Kiyosaki, entrepreneur and motivational coach, who directly criticizes those who give up on building a business: “People do not have the patience to build a business for five years, but they do have the patience to go to a job for 40 years, only to end up with no money, no health, and a lot of debt.”
