Leire Barrutia, a dermatologist, reveals her skincare routine: “Starting with antioxidants”

Taking care of your skin is almost as important as maintaining a healthy diet or sticking to a daily exercise routine. Prolonged sun exposure or even a lack of it can affect your skin day after day.

With this in mind, dermatologist Leire Barrutia used her TikTok account, “dermisphere,” to share her morning skincare routine with her followers, offering recommendations on products that may be beneficial.

From her bathroom, the expert explains that the first step is to start “with an antioxidant,” noting that she uses C E Ferulic by SkinCeuticals. “Just apply three small drops and gently pat them into the skin, which adds radiance to your face.”

She also applies this product to her neck, as it is very effective “for dark spots.” “You only need a tiny amount, and it absorbs very quickly.”

Next, she uses an “ultra serum” with broad-spectrum SPF 50. “It’s a chemical sunscreen in serum form that contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.” Although it can be used at the beach, she prefers it for everyday use. “I love it for daily wear, and it gives my skin a lot of glow.”

After that, Leire applies another product, a “tinted mineral sunscreen,” which includes antioxidant care. “It’s great for this time of year, and it also has anti-aging benefits, sun protection, and helps treat and prevent photoaging.”

To add more color to her face, the expert mentions another product, a “bronzing stick from Colorescience,” which is very versatile since it can be used as blush or to create a subtle contour effect.

Finally, she uses “Babe lip balm,” which is a balm with SPF 50 that can be applied to both lips and cheeks. She then finishes her photo-ready makeup with a coat of mascara and a brow gel to lightly groom her eyebrows.
