Mark Ruffalo lashes out at Donald Trump: “He’s the worst human being”
On the Golden Globes red carpet, actor Ruffalo wore a “Be Good” pin to honor Renee Nicole Good and blasted Trump and VP JD Vance.

At the 2026 Golden Globes, Mark Ruffalo was one of several celebrities speaking out against the Trump administration. The actor wore a pin reading “BE GOOD” in honor of Renee Nicole Good, who was killed last week by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer. Alongside the pin, Ruffalo did not hold back in his criticism of the president.
The shooting that sparked outrage
Video footage shows an officer ordering Good to exit her vehicle and attempting to open the door. The vehicle initially reverses and then begins moving forward. At that point, another officer near the front of the car draws his weapon and fires three shots. Moments later, the vehicle crashes.
Federal authorities, including President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, defended the ICE officer’s actions, claiming the shooting was in self-defense. Noem asserted that Good tried to run over the officer in a “life-threatening act” and labeled her a “terrorist.”
Ruffalo calls Trump “the worst human being”
When asked about the pin by USA Today on the Golden Globes red carpet, Ruffalo explained, “This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered. We have a vice president lying about what happened,” he said.
Turning his attention to President Trump, the actor said, “We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela, which we invaded illegally. He’s telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. All he cares about is his own morality. But this guy is a convicted fellon, a convicted rapist. He’s a pedophile. He’s the worst human being in the world.”
Ruffalo continued, “If we’re relying on this guy’s morality to lead the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble. This is for her, for the people in the U.S. who are terrorised and scared today. I know I’m one of them. I love this country. What I’m seeing here is not America.”
Other stars join the protest
Other celebrities, including Wanda Sykes, Jean Smart, and Natasha Lyonne, also wore pins with the phrases “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT.” “We need to raise our voices and end this corrupt government. What they’re doing to people is horrific,” Sykes told Variety on the red carpet.
