Police in Columbus, Ohio, have confirmed that ten people were shot after a gunman opened fire early on Sunday morning. One person was critically injured, with a total of four having been taken to the hospital. All of the victims were men between the ages of 16 and 27.
The shooting took place on North High Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue. The ‘Short North,’ the neighborhood where the shooting took place, is considered one of the city’s art districts and has a vibrant nightlife.
Details are still emerging, and according to reporting from the area, authorities remain in the area.

Authorities have taken to social media to ask for the public´s help tracking down the suspèct who is believed to be driving a white Honda Civic. Any possible sightings of the vehicle should be reported to the authorities immediately. In terms of what the suspect looks like, authorities are not yet ruling out the theory that there was more than one shooter.

Authorities in Rochester, New York, also reported that a gunman injured 5 people within hours of the shooting in Columbia, highlighting the scale and prevalence of gun violence in the United States.
