Where to get freebies and deal on National Cheeseburger Day 2023

National Cheeseburger Day is here, and some of your favorite burger joints will offer discounts and deals for a few days to help you celebrate the holiday on a budget.

This holiday is celebrated on Sept. 18 each year, and honors one of the country’s most popular foods. This year it falls on a Wednesday, and some restaurants will have week-long offers to give you plenty of time to enjoy some cheesy, meaty goodness.

Buffalo Wild Wings

If you’re a member of the restaurant’s Blazin’ Rewards loyalty program, you can claim a buy one get one free deal on burgers on Sept. 18. You can choose from options like Jason Kelce’s pick, the Triple Bacon Burger, and the all-new Bacon Mac & Cheese Burger.

Burger King

Burger King will be treating the users of its app royally on Sept. 18 with a free cheeseburger. If you’re a member of chain’s Royal Perks free loyalty program, all you need to do is spend at least $1 to receive the gift.

The restaurant is providing freebies not just on Wednesday, but for a few more days after the holiday. Here’s what’s in store for their customers per day, and you can claim each gift with a minimum purchase of $1.

  • Wednesday, Sept. 18: Free cheeseburger on National Cheeseburger Day
  • Thursday, Sept. 19: Free 4-piece order of Mozzarella Fries
  • Friday, Sept. 20: Free Croissan’wich
  • Saturday, Sept. 21: Free 4-piece order of Chicken Fries
  • Sunday, Sept. 22: Free soft drink (any size)

Carl’s Jr.

Members of the Carl’s Jr. My Rewards program can get 50% off cheeseburgers on Wednesday, Sept. 18 through the restaurant’s app.

Dairy Queen

Participating Dairy Queen locations are offering their diners a free double Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger for a minimum order of $1 from Wednesday to Sunday. However, the deal can only be claimed on orders made through their app or online, and is not valid for in-store purchases.

Denny’s

Members of the Denny’s Rewards program are entitled to a 20% discount off any of the burgers on its menu on Wednesday, including the limited-time Beetlejuicy Burger.

McDonald’s

The giant fast food chain is rolling back prices of its double cheeseburgers all the way to a half dollar on Wednesday, Sept. 18. All you need to do is look for the offer on the McDonald’s app.

Smashburger

On Wednesday, the day of the celebration, Smashburger is offering its patrons Classic Singles for only $5 at participating locations. The deal is available for the following menu items: Classic Smash Burger, Classic Smash Turkey Burger, Classic Smash Black Bean Burger, and Classic Smash Veggie Burger. The offer is available in-store, through their website, or their app using the promo code CLASSIC24.

Wayback Burgers

The fast casual restaurant is handing out a special BOGO promo on their classic burger on Wednesday. Customers can redeem the deal in-store, or through the Wayback Burgers app for rewards program members.

Wendy’s

From Wednesday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 22, the fast food chain will offer its Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for only one cent with a purchase when customers order online. The offer will only be available in the Wendy’s app, so orders must be placed online to access the offer.

White Castle

Members of White Castle’s rewards program can claim one free cheese slider on Sept. 18 when they make their purchase through the store’s app.
