The countdown to the ball drop happens at precisely 11:59 p.m. ET, and the evening includes live performances by Flo Rida, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, Maria Becerra, Paul Anka, Jelly Roll, Tyla, and Yng Lvca. There will also be various cultural performances, the raising of the ball, and the distribution of hats, necklaces, and glasses to help set the mood for the celebration. Once the ball drops, the number “2024″ will take over from the top of Times Square, marking the end of the event.
