Official: complete list of Bank of America branches closing in the United States
According to the OCC's weekly bulletins, these are the Bank of America branches that will close in the U.S. soon.
Bank of America will shut down several of its branches across the United States in the coming months. The financial institution has formally notified the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) of its plans to close locations in states including California and Florida.
Banks are not allowed to shut down a branch overnight – federal rules require them to notify the OCC at least 90 days in advance of a planned closure. This is done through what’s called a “Branch Closure Advance Notice,” which is then published publicly by the OCC.
Each week, the OCC releases an updated bulletin listing upcoming closures, recent shutdowns, relocations and newly opened branches. According to the most recent updates, several Bank of America locations are set to be shuttered.
Why is Bank of America closing certain branches?
Banks typically decide to close or relocate branches when they’re no longer profitable in a given city. In recent years, the number of closures has increased, largely due to the rapid growth of digital banking.
As technology evolves, so do customers’ banking habits. More and more transactions can now be completed without stepping into a physical branch – whether through ATMs, mobile apps or online banking – reducing the need for in-person visits.
Complete list of Bank of America branch closures in the US
Because banks are required to provide at least 90 days’ notice before shutting a location, the OCC’s April 2025 bulletins likely reflect branches set to close starting in July.
According to those April bulletins, the following Bank of America locations in California will be closing:
- 26002 MARGUERITE PARKWAY, SUITE A, MISSION VIEJO, CA
- 180 NORTH SANTA ANITA AVENUE, ARCADIA, CA
In addition, the following Florida branches are slated for closure:
- 1479 SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY, LANTANA, FL
- 3801 HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD, HOLLYWOOD, FL
- 23123 STATE ROAD 7, BOCA RATON, FL
Other Bank of America branches in various parts of the United States are also on the closure list:
