But there’s more than just sun and sea: Bari boasts a rich historical heritage. Highlights include the city’s cathedral, the UNESCO-listed Castel del Monte fortress, and the ancient ruins of Egnazia—all accessible with entrance fees ranging from just €4 to €8.
One of Bari’s greatest pleasures is its food. Dining well on a budget is easy, with local restaurants offering meals for as little as $9–$13. Regional specialties include fresh seafood, grilled meats, and locally produced wines, which often cost as little as $5.50 per bottle in restaurants.
