Pineapple lovers, beware: this pizzeria adds a shocking $120 fee for the topping
Pizza toppings can be a divisive issue with an outlet in England taking matters into their own hands over suitable toppings.

Olives, cheese, pepperoni, tuna, onions, peppers are universally deemed as acceptable pizza toppings with not even the most hardcore Neapolitan arguing about any of the above ingredients being used in the preparation process.
However mention the ‘p’ word and matters on appropriate pizza toppings and the debate takes on another level of intensity.
I actually love putting cheese on everything; cheesecake, cheesy chips, cheesy pizza, cheese on toast. What’s your favorite? pic.twitter.com/3t0NYRtkK9

It’s now a deliberation that can end a relationship, divide families and communities. Is pineapple a qualified pizza topping?
Lupa Pizza say no to pineapple
One pizzeria in Norwich (England) feels so strongly about the matter that they have decided to charge a $120 supplement for anyone looking for pineapple as an additional topping.
“I say ‘no’ to pineapple,” states Lupa’s head chef Quin Jianoran.
When the Panopoulos brothers created the Hawaiian pizza in the 60s, they mixed “Chinese sweet and sour flavors with a traditional Italian product,” he explains. “it’s very controversial, because people literally love it and people hate it. We’re just taking a stance.”
Not unsurprisingly, no customers at Lupa Pizza have been forthcoming at paying the ‘pineapple tariff’ but their stance has managed to secure a significant upturn in online notoriety.
The restaurant has even developed a series of merchandise following the social media impact of #PinneappleGate.
