Customers of the major U.S. retailer Target will have to look elsewhere for their shopping needs this Easter Sunday, as the store is set to be closing its doors across America throughout the day.
Nearly 2,000 Target stores to shut for Easter 2025
Target, which has 1,978 stores nationwide, has confirmed that it won’t be open for business on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
“Guests can expect regular store hours on April 19 and can check Target.com or the Target app for local store information,” a spokesperson for the chain told the U.S. Sun.
Target typically closes on major holidays such as Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Although Target is set to remain closed on Easter Sunday, other major retailers are expected to be open in America: they include Walmart, Kroger and Albertsons.
