The young 21-year-old woman of Polish nationality, who claims to be Madeleine McCann, continues her campaign on social media for the authorities to comply with her request that they perform a test on her DNA to check if she is the British minor who went missing in Praia da Luz (Portugal).

According to her version related on her Instagram profile (@iammadeleinemccan), Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry, have agreed to her request. In her profile, where she already has more than half a million followers and fifty posts where she compares her physical features with those of the missing child, she has insisted on the importance of carrying out DNA tests that would make it possible to solve this mystery.

The young Polish woman says that she has met with the refusal of the authorities of the Eastern European country and the United Kingdom. The main reason Scotland Yard refuses to carry out these tests is that police believe the minor died on the night of her disappearance. Furthermore, today she would be 19 years old, two years younger than Julia Faustyna (or Wendell, or Wandelt, there is confusion about what her last name really is). There are also other arguments to dismantle this girl’s theory.

One of them was the use of robot technology to test if there are similarities between Madeleine and Julia which ruled out this possibility. Also based their decision on the false testimonies provided by other girls who claimed to be Madeleine.

Julia claims that she has physical similarities to Madeleine McCann

The shape of her eyes and the spot on one of them (coloboma) is one of the main arguments used by Julia to defend that she is Madeleine McCan. She also compares other aspects such as the smile, teeth, and facial features of the parents. As for coloboma, it is a very rare spot in newborns, since it is diagnosed with an average of between two and eight cases per 100,000 newborn babies.

In the story of her childhood, she also talks about the figure of a German pedophile. “I have lived a very hard life and suffered many trauma, my abuser was a German pedophile who was a suspect in the Madeleine McCann investigation.” At that time, the spotlight turned to the German Christian Brueckner, the main suspect in the case, although on several occasions he has denied any involvement in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

“DNA test will be done soon”

“Kate and Gerry McCann agreed for DNA test!” Julia posted on her Instagram page. She said that a person claiming to be Madeleine’s cousin told her that there could be a possibility to talk with the missing child’s parents to have a DNA test performed. If the tests are confirmed, Madeleine’s parents will have the opportunity to meet the young Polish woman and to know definitively if their daughter is the young woman who has started this campaign on Instagram that has gone viral.

“The family are taking no chances, they are willing to look at all leads”

After Julia assured that the parents would be willing to carry out the DNA test, the British newspaper Daily Star Sunday confirms, citing sources close to the family, that they have spoken about what happened. “The family are taking no chances, they are willing to look at all leads. It is important they look at all of the factors, the girl does look similar. There’s no disputing that. If what she says is true, there is every chance it could be her. It all adds up,” explains the source close to the McCanns.
