Shakira and Jason Aldean concerts at Fenway Park cancelled: Here’s what you have to do to get a refund

The scheduled concert at the iconic home of the Boston Red Sox has been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” this week.

Fans in line at Boston’s Fenway Park was distraught to learn that the Shakira concert had been canceled at the last minute, sparking major questions about the organization.

The news was broken just hours before the concert was due to start and fans have been given no concrete information about the recent for the late decision. In addition, upcoming performances from Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn - scheduled for May 29 and May 30, respectively - have also been canceled.

A statement from Live Nation reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Shakira and Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn performances originally scheduled for May 29th and May 30th respectively at Fenway Park have been canceled. Refunds will be available at your point of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Organizers have confirmed that refunds will be made available but buyers will need to return to the “point of purchase” to claim the money back. Nevertheless fans will be very disappointed to learn of the cancellation at such late notice, having already likely spent on travel and accommodation.

The show was part of Shakira’s ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry)’ tour and it was supposed to be the big opening event of the 2025 Fenway Concert Series.
