Tornado watch vs. Tornado warning
In this type of situation, it is extremely important to know how to distinguish between a tornado watch and a tornado warning.
A tornado watch indicates that weather conditions are favorable for the development of the phenomenon, although it may not end up occurring. However, it is necessary to follow the warnings of the authorities and experts to avoid catastrophes.
In contrast, tornado warnings indicate that the tornado is imminent or already occurring, so you should take action as soon as possible and get to a safe place immediately.

What to do during a tornado alert?
For your safety, it is recommended to stay inside the house and locate a safe place, be it a basement or an interior room to which you can go in case the tornado takes place. You must stay away from windows and have as much protection around you as possible.
In this case, and due to the warning of large hail and strong winds, it is recommended to secure or cover cars, as well as personal property that is outside, if possible.
