How much was Monday’s Powerball jackpot and did anyone win it?
After a $251 million jackpot was won on Mar. 2, the Powerball grand prize was reset for last Wednesday’s drawing - before twice rolling over to reach an estimated $47 million this Monday (with a $21.7 million cash option).
However, Powerball organizers say there were no jackpot-winning tickets in the latest drawing, so the top figure has now climbed to an estimated $58 million ($26.8 million cash option) ahead of the next instalment of the lottery later this week.
When is the next Powerball drawing?
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET/7:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2026.
Powerball jackpot winners have two options:
• Receive the jackpot in full, as an annuity payment spread over 30 annual installments that grow each year.
• Claim the lump-sum “cash option”, which is smaller but paid all at once.
It’s important to note that winnings are pre-tax amounts.
What other Powerball prizes can you win?
While the jackpot often captures the headlines, there are also numerous smaller prizes. Secondary prizes range from $4 to $1 million or more, depending on how many winning numbers a ticket can match. Players who add the Power Play option can multiply the size of non-jackpot prizes.
