Trump announces “a complete and total” ceasefire between Israel and Iran: Here are all the details
President Donald Trump has announced the Israel and Iran will stop fighting what he is calling “The 12 Day War” within a matter of hours.
Hostilities between Israel and Iran will end within a matter of hours according to a post on social media by US President Donald Trump.
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!” he wrote on Truth Social. “It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE.”
What are the details of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran
The ceasefire is set to begin around midnight in Washington DC six hours after Trump announced it on Truth Social “when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!”
He laid out that officially Iran will be the first to stop hostilities and then “upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World,” stated his post.
Trump said that during the ceasefire “the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL.”
He congratulated both countries “on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end,” the conflict which Trump wants to be called “The 12 Day War.”
Several hours later, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, announced in a social media post that Iran has not agreed to any ceasefire, but that if Israel stops its attacks, Iran will not respond.
