Trump’s new promise that would affect undocumented immigrants
Donald Trump has shared one of the measures against undocumented immigrants that he will implement if he becomes president.
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign continues. The Republican continues to hold rallies, in addition to attending some events to share his plans for governing that he would implement if he regains the White House once again.
Since announcing that he would seek a second term in November 2022, the Republican has focused his campaign on several issues, including the immigration crisis. Trump has proposed several measures to reduce the entry of undocumented immigrants and expel those that are living in the United States.
Recently in New York, the former president shared a new proposal related to access to housing for immigrants with unregulated status.
Trump's new housing promise would affect undocumented immigrants
Trump plans to ban mortgages for undocumented immigrants. The candidate shared this proposal during a speech at the Economic Club of New York last Thursday.
Trump said the measure would help address housing affordability — that is, lower prices — because a “flood” of people entering the United States illegally is driving up housing costs.
However, the former president has not justified his statements, since undocumented immigrants only represent a small portion of the mortgage market because, by not having a Social Security Number (SSN), it is more difficult for them to obtain a loan or they are offered very high rates.

On his campaign website, Trump has shared 20 promises “to make America great again.”
The first point is titled: ‘Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion,’ while the second is called: ‘Carry out the largest deportation operation in US history.’
