On Tuesdays and Fridays, Mega Millions lottery drawings are held at 11 p.m. If you want to try your luck, make sure you buy your ticket before the deadline.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lotteries in the United States. The drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. PT/10 p.m. CT) from the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
This lottery is available in the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands and most states in the country, except Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. It is also not available in Puerto Rico. The cost of the ticket is $2.
Each of the 47 jurisdictions has a different deadline to purchase tickets and be able to participate in the draw. In some locations, tickets can be purchased online.

Mega Millions: Can you buy tickets online?
If you are in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Virginia or the District of Columbia, you can purchase Mega Millions tickets online by registering at the lotteries of those jurisdictions.
You can also purchase tickets online in New York. In most cases, you must be a resident of these jurisdictions to participate in these purchase options, but in all cases you must be physically within their borders when making any online ticket purchase, according to the Mega Millions web portal.
