US ELECTION 2024
The first thing Trump said he’d do if he won the election
Trump said he would ‘abuse his power’ on day 1 after becoming President of the USA.
Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential election and now holds the keys to arguably the strongest nation in the world. In what many thought was set to be a close race turned out to be a huge victory for Trump, who managed to take all the swing states across the nation.
The convicted felon ran a long and loud campaign, in which he spoke brashly about immigrants, Putin and Israel, among other topics.
President-elect Trump also highlighted what he’d do on day one of his presidency as the most powerful man in the country...

'I want to drill, drill, drill'
During his campaign, FOX News host Sean Hannity asked Trump if he would promise that he “would never abuse power as retribution against anybody,” to which Trump responded, “Except for Day 1.”
When asked to expand on the statement, Trump added, “I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill.”
“We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling,” Trump said. “After that, I’m not a dictator.”
As well as drilling, Trump said he would fire Jack Smith, the special counsel who has brought two federal cases against him.
“We got immunity at the Supreme Court. It’s so easy. I would fire him within two seconds. He’ll be one of the first things addressed,” Trump said on the “Hugh Hewitt Show” last month.
On what is set to be a busy 24 hours for Trump, he said in a campaign video last year he would put an end to the “Green New Deal atrocities on Day 1” if chosen as President.
At a rally in Madison Square Gardens, he also said that “On Day 1, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out. I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible.”
