Kamala Harris' Fundraising Lead
Although Kamala Harris began her campaign later than Donald Trump, she has managed to surpass him in fundraising. Federal Election Commission data shows that the Democratic Party has raised over $1 billion, setting a record for the largest fundraising quarter.

OpenSecrets reports that Harris’s top donors include major Political Committees (PACs) representing organisations, individual members, employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, and more.
Some of the most substantial contributions to the Democratic Party have come from groups like Future Forward USA Action, American Bridge 21st Century, Democracy PAC, and Greylock Partners. Additionally, companies such as Google, Microsoft, Brown & Brown, Johnson & Johnson, and Apple have contributed significantly to Harris’s campaign.
Among prominent individual donors, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg leads, reportedly contributing around $19 million. Other high-profile supporters include LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, who has reportedly donated $10 million, along with Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings and philanthropist Melinda French Gates.
Many donations remain unregistered and therefore unconfirmed. For instance, The New York Times reported that Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, may have donated $50 million to the Democrats through a PAC.
