The price of gasoline is slowly coming down across the US. States and the federal government have mooted measures such as gas tax rebates to help drivers.

While measures are being mooted to help American drivers with high gas prices, some states have already passed legislation to either pause their gas tax or send residents a tax rebate to help cushion the blow of higher prices at the pump, in the supermarket and just about everywhere. Although it appears unlikely that the federal government will send taxpayers a gas rebate card, on Sunday we listened to the US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm say that President Joe Biden’s administration was continuing its objective to bring down fuel prices for Americans by evaluating a pause on federal gas tax. As we await further action, let’s have a look around the country and see where the prices currently sit.

According to the AAA Gas Prices website, which is a public service of the United States of America’s largest motoring and leisure travel membership organization, the following price information is made available. Every day up to 120,000 stations are surveyed in cooperation with WEX Inc. for unmatched statistical reliability.
