For Wednesday’s drawing, the jackpot had increased to an estimated $283 million.
Without a grand prize winner, more money will therefore be added to the pot ahead of the Powerball’s next drawing. The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $302 million. The cash option, meanwhile, has risen to an estimated $135.3 million.
These figures are all pre-tax.

The next Powerball drawing is due to be held on Saturday, June 20, at 10:59 p.m. ET/7:59 p.m. PT.

If you do hit the jackpot, you have two options:
- Collect the total jackpot amount in growing annual instalments spread over 29 years
- Receive the smaller, cash-option figure as an up-front, lump-sum payment
What other prizes are up for grabs?
While the Powerball jackpot captures the headlines, there are also numerous smaller amounts to be won. Secondary prizes range from $4 to $1 million or more, depending on how many winning numbers a player matches.
Non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied by adding the Power Play option for an additional $1.
