Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. local time. Thompson, 50, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Thompson had been with UnitedHealth Group since 2004 and was appointed CEO of UnitedHealthcare in April 2021.
