When will Chick-Fil-A streaming service be available? What shows will it have?

Chick-Fil-A is making moves to expand beyond fast food and into entertainment, supplying family-friendly shows to be shown on its own streaming platform.

When you think of Chick-Fil-A, you probably are not thinking of game shows and reality TV. However, that may soon change according to Deadline which reported that the Georgia-based firm “has been working with a number of major production companies, including some of the studios, to create family-friendly shows.”

The outlet says that they focusing their efforts on developing content “particularly in the unscripted space” but will include original scripted projects and animation.  Chick-Fil-A also is looking to license and acquire content which along with their originals will launch on its own streaming service.

Social media has poked fun at the idea of the restaurateur taking on the likes of Netflix and Disney+ with memes. “Chick-fil-a is releasing a streaming platform. Surely it’s gonna be called Chick Flicks, right?????” asked one X user. Other potential names that were pitched included Flick-fil-A and Chic stream.

But it does appear to be serious about the matter. Sources told Deadline that it’s believed Chick-Fil-A is budgeting $400,000 per half-hour for unscripted reality shows.

And it actually won’t be its first foray into developing original content. It has created animated short films like ‘Stories of Evergreen Hills’.

And the company isn’t leaving it up to the cows to make their new endeavor a success. According to Deadline the fast-food chain has brought in Brian Gibson to lead the programming push. He has worked on programs such as ‘The Fixers’, ‘Random Acts and Fox’s adaptation of ‘The X Factor’. He has been in talks already with various producers.

When will Chick-Fil-A streaming service be available?

The exact date of when the new streaming platform will go live has not been disclosed but is expected sometime later this year.
