June explodes with vibrant colors and joyous celebrations as cities across the US host Pride parades and festivals. These events honor the LGBTQ+ community, promote equality, and create a space for self-expression. If you’re looking to join the festivities, here’s a glimpse at the biggest Pride parades happening this June.

These parades are just a taste of the incredible Pride celebrations happening across the US this June. This is by no means an exhaustive list as nearly every city will be having some sort of celebration.

New York City

Often referred to as “the birthplace of Pride,” New York City’s Pride celebration is considered the largest LGBTQ+ event in North America. With an estimated two million attendees annually, The March is a spectacle of floats, vibrant costumes, and powerful messages of unity.

It will be held on 30 June.

San Francisco

San Francisco boasts a massive celebration that drew in half a million people last year. The parade winds through the city streets, culminating in a lively festival packed with entertainment, food vendors, and community booths before the night spills into the city’s renowned nightlife scene.

Like NYC, it is taking place on 30 June.

Los Angeles

The City of Angels throws a dazzling Pride bash, attracting over 150,000 participants. The parade snakes its way down Hollywood Boulevard, showcasing elaborate floats and energetic performances.

This year it will be held on 9 June.

Chicago

With a focus on inclusivity, Chicago throws a massive Pride celebration spread across two days. The vibrant parade features colorful floats, marching bands, and local LGBTQ+ organizations. The accompanying festival offers live music, delicious food, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The parade begins at West Sheridan and North Broadway on Sunday, 30 June.

Atlanta

The South explodes with Pride in Atlanta, with an estimated attendance exceeding 300,000. The parade is known for its energetic atmosphere and diverse representation of the LGBTQ+ community, though it is held much later than the others on this list. It will take place on 12 October.
