The 2024 Democratic National Convention is set to take place in Chicago, Illinois, from August 19 to 22. The convention will kick off with a welcome from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. On Monday, the DNC will feature speeches from other influential Democratic leaders. President Joe Biden and wife Jill are expected to make an appearance along with Hillary Clinton on Monday night.

“He’s looking forward to, as he tends to do, speak directly to the American people,” his team said.

Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have also been given speaking roles. Obama will will be giving his highly anticipated speech on Tuesday along with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzcker and second gentleman Doug Emhoff. Michelle Obama is also expected to speak on Tuesday.

Bill Clinton will introduce Harris’ running mate Tim Walz on Wednesday and the one of the most anticipated moments of the convention will be the keynote address. Kamala Harris, will deliver the prominent speech on Thursday, aiming to use it as a great launchpoint for her campaign as November fast approaches. Vice President Kamala Harris will be formally nominated for president, making her the first Black woman and the first person of color to be nominated by a major party.
