Oscars night: the most special night of the year in Hollywood. After finding out the nominees to win the prestigious Academy Award statuette, the main film websites all have their own view on who the main favorites are for the Oscars. Film fans will be checking IMDB, Filmaffinity and more, along with some that invite their followers to participate and choose their favorites.

IMDB

The prestigious Internet Movie Database prestigious page carries out an exhaustive in-depth dive every year onto everything surrounding the Oscars. To do this, in addition to a list with the nominees, the site prepares a survey so that their readers can choose who they think should be the winner in each category. This year the readers seem clear about the category of ‘Best Film’, with an overwhelming 39% of the vote for Everything at once everywhere.

The same film is also likely to be, according to users, the winner in the ‘Best Actress’ category with Michelle Yeoh as the chosen one.

Brendan Fraser should win the golden statuette for Best Actor for his powerful performance in The Whale. Daniel Kwan and Dinel Sheinert are favorites for Best Director, albeit with Steven Spielberg close on their heels.

filmaffinity

Another website specialized in international cinema, Filmaffinity, does not tend to position itself in such a specific way regarding the Oscar party. However, it does have a ranking tool, and the scores from that can be used to assess what the editors think about each of the films and performances.

According to that Los Fabelmans would be the winner for the page with an evaluation of 7.3. However, the differences are very small, since with the exception of They speak all the noms are above 6.8. However if you want guidance on the other categories, best look elsewhere as the scores are only provided for the films.

esquire

The section of the website dedicated to cinema goes with the surprise choice of Los Fabelmans as a favourite, although it also, rather more boringly, notes that Everything at once everywhere is the other main candidate. Another of the pages interesting bets is Ana de Armas as the winner of the ‘Best Actress’ statuette. The battle between Austin Butler and Brendan Fraser for the ‘Best Actor’ award is another of his predictions.
